William "Bill" F. Holland and his twin sister Beatrice were born on February 15, 1930, to Melvin and Glennie-Mae (Walston) Holland. When he was very young, he started collection postage stamps and continued this hobby throughout his life. Bill served in the National Guard for 8 years before starting a family.
In the early years, Bill did dairy farming, drove a milk truck, and was an active Colporter for the SDA Church.
In later years, Bill did home construction and remodels, and remained active into his eighties, even putting a roof on his house.
Bill loved music and telling funny stories. He also enjoyed traveling and going to historical places.
Bill lived in his home of many years, near Delta, PA, until recently moving in with his son and family. He died peacefully, surrounded by loved ones.
Bill is survived by his sons and daughters, their spouses, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary, and will be laid to rest next to her at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Baltimore on July 10, 2023.
