William “Bill” Anthony Marketti, Jr. passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 11, 2026.
Bill was the beloved life partner of Hazel F. Smith and a devoted father to Brian Clasing, Tessa Marketti, Michael Marketti, Abigail Marketti and her fiancé, Tate Kesner, Emma Marketti, and son in law, Sage Markey. He was the proud grandfather of RaeLynn, Sophie, and Colter.
He was the son of the late William Marketti, Sr. and Ethel (Dee) Fisher and is also survived by Abigail and Emma’s mother, Lorrie Marketti, along with many other loving relatives and dear friends.
Known to many simply as “Billy,” Bill loved Hazel and his family more than anything. Whether he was gathered around one of his famous campfires at Duck Neck Campground, relaxing on the beach, spending time out on the boat, shooting pool, playing softball, or simply enjoying a Budweiser with the people he loved, he was happiest when he was surrounded by family and friends.
Bill was known for his quick wit, his generous heart, and his willingness to help anyone in need. He was incredibly handy, and there wasn’t much he couldn’t fix. Bill’s fuse could be short when it came to common sense—or the lack of it—but his heart was always much bigger than his temper. Family and friends could always count on him for a helping hand, honest advice, and a laugh when they needed one most.
His legacy is one of love, laughter, hard work, and unwavering devotion to the people he cared about. He leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories that will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him
