Mary Sallese Whittaker

Mary Sallese Whittaker, beloved sister and friend, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026, at the age of 83. She was predeceased by her husband, Chuck, in 2019.

Born on May 27, 1942, Mary lived a life grounded in kindness, strength, and devotion to her family and community. She was known for her warm heart, generous spirit, and the ability to make everyone around her feel welcome and cared for. Whether through a shared meal, a thoughtful conversation, or quiet acts of compassion, Mary touched countless lives over the years.

Mary cherished time spent with her family and took great pride in the lives and accomplishments of those she loved. Her devotion, grace, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving sister, Susan, and brother-in-law, Tony; brother, Carl, and sister-in-law, Beverly; one nephew and two nieces; three great-nieces and one great-nephew; and many dear friends who will continue to honor her memory through the values she lived every day: love, faith, compassion, and resilience.

A celebration of Mary's life will be held at Oak Crest Community Chapel, 8800 Walther Blvd on Friday, June 5, 2026 from 10 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. Funeral Mass at 10:30 A.M. Interment will be held privately at a future date.

Mary Sallese Whittaker's legacy lives on in the hearts of those she loved and the many lives she quietly and beautifully shaped.
