Lela Cordelia (Reed) Underwood

On May 16, 2022, Lela Underwood passed away. She was the beloved and devoted wife for 72 years to Seldon Underwood, loving mother of Martin Underwood Sr., John Underwood, Regina Nelson and Louis Underwood; Lela is also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Lela Underwood was a kind hearted, hard working and God fearing woman. Lela was the glue to her family. She was a stay at home mother, seamstress, and then opened her home to foster care in 1992. Lela loved to bake, tend to her tulip garden, and spend time with her family. She loved her family so much she would put them before herself. She was the definition of selfless, loving and loyal. We are so grateful to have been blessed with 91 years with her. She will be missed dearly, but we are certain she is reunited with her husband and sisters watching over us.


Visitation hours will be held on Friday, May the 20th at Kaczorowski Funeral Home from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M.. The funeral service will take place on Friday, May the 20th at 1 P.M.. Interment will immediately follow the funeral service at Parkwood Cemetery.
