John Malcolm McGlasson

Memorial Mass and Remembrance for Local businessman John M. McGlasson who passed away Dec. 19, 2022, is scheduled at Holy Rosary Church Baltimore on Thurs. July 6, 2023 at 6:30 P.M.

Mr. McGlasson, “Jack”, “Jake”, a graduate of McDonogh School and Lycoming College with a mathematics degree was a successful Baltimore entrepreneur for fifty years. During his career he owned and managed an investment firm comprised of small companies and properties. After teaching at Archbishop Curley High, he began a medical supply company distributing products nationwide. He was involved in local charities and mentored neighborhood families giving freely of his time and talents. Jack demonstrated an unfailing positive and courageous will with style and charm and “never gave in”. When health permitted, he enjoyed painting, boating, restoring religious artifacts, and dining out with friends.

Survivors include his wife, former Mary Chase of Dallas, PA, sister Sharon Wheeden, son John M III., stepson Robert, several nieces and nephews, a loving godchild Christine Prosser, and friends whose lives he brightened.
