John P. Ashe, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully in Bel Air, MD. He was born in Baltimore, MD on October 16, 1935.

John will always be remembered for his infectious laughter and his love for bringing joy to others through his humor. He had a penchant for telling bad jokes but never failed to make those around him smile. A sports enthusiast through and through, he could often be found passionately cheering for the Orioles, Colts, and Ravens.

One of John's greatest joys in life was spending time with his family. Whether it was the summer weekends at Herb and Eleanor's shore home or the annual family picnic at Patapsco Valley State Park, he cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of sharing these special times with him.

John's proudest accomplishments include being married to his beloved bride Geraldine for nearly 60 years until her passing in 2014. Their love was a shining example to all who knew them. Additionally, he was honored to have earned a place in the Baltimore Boys of Summer Fast-pitch Hall of Fame, a testament to his passion for sports.

He is survived by his children Maryann Hiteshew, Dan Ashe, along with their spouses Dorsey Hiteshew and Ann Ashe respectively. John will also be deeply missed by his brother Danny Ashe, sister-in-law Agnes Ashe, grandchildren Erica Gladmon, Lauren Burke, Noah Ashe, and great-grandchildren Nora, Ollie, and Isla.

A Memorial Mass to celebrate John's life will be held at St. Clement Mary Hofbauer Church in Rosedale, MD on March 14th starting at 11:00 AM. The Mass will be a time for family and friends to come together and honor the legacy of a man who brought so much love and dedication into the world.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of John P. Ashe.

John may have left this world, but his spirit will forever remain alive in the hearts of those who knew him.
