Gloria Harrison

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gloria Lynn Harrison, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Gloria, age 59, peacefully departed from this world on March 13, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on March 2, 1965, in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the cherished daughter of Jane Sampson and Earl Sampson.

Gloria dedicated many years of her life working at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where her warm presence and infectious laughter endeared her to countless colleagues. She possessed a unique gift for bringing joy to those around her, often lightening the mood with her hearty and contagious laughter. Her vibrant personality and outgoing nature ensured that she could turn any gathering into a memorable occasion, leaving behind fond memories for all who knew her.

Above all else, Gloria's greatest joy in life was found in her role as a devoted mother and grandmother. She poured boundless love and affection into her children: Crystel Canela (and husband Yovanny), Sarah Deluca (and husband Felix), Allen Hargrave, and Dustin Markiewicz. Gloria was also a doting grandmother to Dean, Darian, Daishana (angel girl), Dewin, Gabriela, Destiny, Gabriel, and Dominic, as well as a loving great-grandmother to Josiah and Jaheim.

In addition to her immediate family, Gloria leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that extends to her two older sisters, Teresa Matute and Patricia Griffith, her predeceased brother, Terry Locklear, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were deeply touched by her presence.

Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Gloria are invited to pay their respects at the Kaczorowski Funeral Home, located at 1201 Dundalk Avenue, Baltimore, 21222, on Friday, March 22nd, 2024, between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm. Let us come together to celebrate Gloria's life, sharing stories of her infectious laughter, her unwavering love, and the indelible mark she left on all of our hearts. May her spirit live on in the memories we hold dear.
