Clara C. Mirra, 98, of Hagerstown, Md. died April 17th, 2015 in Hagerstown, Born in Baltimore, Md., moved to Hagerstown in 1977. Mother of Frederick and daughter-in-law Ruth and the late Joanne Zittle, loving grandmother of Ernie A. Zittle, Gina Byer, Aimee Robinson, and Anthony Mirra, great-grandmother of Lucia and Carmen Caltabiano, Jr., Savannah and Sierra Zittle, Emily, Leah and Timothy Robinson, Cason and Sawyer Mirra, Daughter of the Late Robert & Lena Eberling (Klamer), pre deceased by one sister and two brothers.
She married her husband, the late Anthony F. Mirra in 1940. They were married for 54 years. She won a scholarship to Mt. Washington High School for Academics. She also won medals for swimming and diving.
She worked as a secretary for USF & G in Baltimore and was known for crocheting blankets and dolls. She loved her flower gardens and grew her own tomatoes and peppers until she was 97 years old. She loved chihuahuas and mice figurines.
