Betty L. Polanowski

Betty L. Polanowski, Abshire, a cherished soul known for her ever-present smile and warm heart, peacefully passed away on May 23, 2026, at her home in Baltimore, Maryland. Born on April 30, 1939, Betty’s life was a testament to kindness and love, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

As Vice President of Softrac America, Betty demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication throughout her career. Yet, it was her personal warmth and genuine care that truly defined her essence. Those who met Betty always felt welcomed and deeply loved, a reflection of her radiant personality and compassionate spirit.

Betty’s passing leaves a profound void, yet her legacy is carried forth by her surviving family and dear ones who hold her memory close. She is lovingly remembered by her sister, Pat King, along with thirteen grandchildren—Joshua Polanowski, Rob Polanowski, Michael Polanowski, Jack Polanowski, Crystal Maxwell, Megan Clowser, Danielle Elmore, Autumn Kling, Emily Polanowski, Jimmy Polanowski, David Polanowski, Casey Lind, Paige Swann—and their families as well as two daughter in laws, Melissa Polanowski (Robert) and Karen Polanowski (David) of her late sons. Her joy extended further to seven great-grandchildren who undoubtedly felt the special love that only a great-grandmother like Betty could give. Nieces, nephews, extended family, and a large circle of devoted friends were cherished members of her family. Her loyal companion, Spot, a furry friend who stood by her side, also mourns her loss.

Betty was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Paul and Reva Abshire; her sons, Robert and David Polanowski; and her spouse, Robert Polanowski, all of whom remain tenderly remembered.

A series of tributes will be held to honor Betty’s life and spirit: a viewing on May 31, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a visitation from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, both at Kaczorowski Funeral Home, P.A., located at 1201 Dundalk Ave, Baltimore, MD 21222. The remembrance will continue with a prayer service on June 1, 2026, starting at 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the same location.

Through every smile and every warm embrace, Betty L. Polanowski made the world kinder, safer, and infinitely more loving. Though her physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit and love will forever be a guiding light in the hearts of those who knew her. She was a life beautifully lived, a story deeply cherished, and a love eternally felt. May she rest in peace.
