Bernard Joseph Zebron

Bernard J. Zebron, beloved husband of the late Stephanie M. Zebron (Wesolowski), devoted father of Michael and his wife Laurie, Barbara, Beth, Stephen, Tricia, and the late Thomas Zebron, loving grandfather of Sarah, Heather, Christopher, Michael Thomas, Danielle, Matthew, Thomas, Jacob, and Gabrielle, more recently great-grandfather to Emerson, Rio, Eliza, Hadley, and Jules, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2024.

Bernie was born in Baltimore on July  25th, 1936, son of Joseph and Jennie (Popera) Zebron, Sr. He is the last surviving sibling, predeceased by Sr. Joanita, Virginia, Sr. Martiana, Tony, Fr. Samuel, and Frank. He attended St. Casimir’s Parochial School and graduated from Mt. St. Joseph High School in 1953.  

Bernie spent his career primarily employed in the maritime field, working for Bethlehem Steel Sparrows Point Shipyard, Maryland Drydock, retiring from the United States Maritime Administration (MARAD). He also worked for the Baltimore Orioles as an usher at Memorial Stadium.

Bernie was an enthusiastic local history buff, an avid gardener, and consummate home-cook, famously known for his Maryland crab soup. He generously shared his passions with family and friends, passing them down to his children and grandchildren. 

Visiting hours will be held at Kaczorowski Funeral Home, P.A., 1201 Dundalk Avenue on Monday, May 13 from 4pm – 8pm. Funeral Mass at St. Casimir’s church, 2800 O’Donnell Street on Tuesday, May 14 at 10:00am. Interment in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation or the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research
