Alma Ann Siedlecki age 93 of Baltimore passed away peacefully in her sleep October 14 at her residence in Clarksville MD.
She was born on March 10, 1926 in Baltimore daughter of the late Peter Wojciechowski and Anna Drozd
She was preceded in death by her husband Walter, son Dean, and daughter Rose Henry.
She was a member of the of St. Francis of Assisi church on Harford Rd for over 40 years and a homemaker.
Alma graduated from Seton Hall High School, Mt. St. Agnes College, (where she played field hockey) and finally from the University of MD. She worked as a social worker in many counties before getting married and raising her family.
She had an incredible knack of remembering names, birthdays, anniversaries and was always the first to send cards to loved ones with a little “green” in them. In her 80’s she enjoyed dabbling in the stock market and traded often in hopes of hitting the big one!
Born during the Great Depression Alma was always prudent in her spending and didn’t believe in waste. Unpretentious in her ways she had the gift of being satisfied with her way of life wherever she happened to be—whether she was “down the shore”, her home of many years on 35th Street, or her assisted living home in Clarksville
Alma is survived by her brother Albert Wojciechowski (98) of Parkville, MD, sister Adele Nelka (90) of Dallas TX, and son Walter Jr. of Cincinnati OH., and many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
