Alexander David Shook "SHOOK"

Alexander David Shook, known as "Shook” among his friends and colleagues, passed away on June 13, 2026, just days before his 44th birthday. Born on June 24, 1982 in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, Alexander lived a life marked by charm, laughter, kindness, honesty, and loyalty that left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him.

Shook’s professional journey was centered around the vibrant restaurant scenes of Baltimore, where he worked as both a server and manager at various establishments. His career was more than just a job; it was where he made countless memories and forged lifelong friendships that spoke to the wonderful personality everyone admired. Alex’ colleagues and friends often found themselves drawn to his big heart and his ever-present smile, matched with a great sense of humor that could brighten even the most challenging of days.

He was not only known for his talents in hospitality but also for his skills in the kitchen, often celebrated as a wonderful cook whose dishes brought joy and comfort to family gatherings. As an uncle, his playful nature and patience made him a cherished figure in his four nephews’ lives—Cameron Strange, Christian and Carter McFadden and Nicholas DiMartino.

Alex enjoyed assembling intricate Lego sets, watching the Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings movies, listening to country music and embarking on nights out with friends, where his laughter and charisma were infectious. Among his favorite family traditions was the joyous Christmas brunch, a time of warmth, togetherness, and celebration that he held close to his heart.

He leaves behind a supportive and loving family who were his pillars: Walter Daniel and Megan Elizabeth Shook, his devoted mother and father; his sister Nellie Shook and brother-in-law Chris McFadden; and his beloved partner Terri Buchacz, who shared in his joys and walked beside him through life’s journey. He is survived by one daughter. whose personality and talents continue to remind us of Alex. The family mourns him alongside the memory of his older brother, Nickie DiMartino who passed in 2020, holding them in our hearts forever.

Alexander David Shook was a man of resilience, laughter, and warmth—a beacon to his family, friends, and community. His legacy is echoed in the smiles he brought to those around him, the friendships he nurtured, and the love he generously gave. Though he has left this world, the imprint of his character and beautiful soul will forever remain a guiding light for all who knew him. His memory will be a blessing, a tender reminder of a life beautifully lived.
