On June 11, 2017, Anita Josette Borzymowski (nee Barberan), long time East Baltimore resident and former First Lady of the Polish Home Club, departed this life.. She was 88. Born in Oran, Algeria on October 2, 1928 to Juan and Ana Barberan, she is the last of six children to survive.  She met her husband, the late Joseph J. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, Anita was, most of all, a great friend to all. She loved life and everything it encompassed and loved helping all of us celebrate it. And how she loved to dance! To her, life was meant to be one big dance! She had a special way to let everyone know she was a friend for life and will be deeply missed by family and friends and all who knew her.

She is survived by her sons, Samuel J. Borzymowski and his wife Sandie of Millers, Frank P. Borzymowski of Orlando, FL., and Joseph J. Borzymowski, Jr. and his wife Allison of Forest Hill; grandchildren Joseph J. Borzymowski III and his wife Amanda, Daniel M. Frank III and his wife Tika, Christina Markel and her husband Chris; great grandchildren Mary Helen and Bantam Borzymowski, Peyton and Juliana Markel and Allison Frank; and nephews Jean-Marie, Patrick and Joel Barberan now residing in France.
